How can I pay for my kit?

By credit card:
French Kit uses Paypal, one of the safest online payment systems. At no time do I have access to your credit card number or banking details.

If you already have a paypal account, just enter your email and password when you get to the checkout, paypal does the rest for you.

If you don’t have a paypal account, not a problem. You don’t need one in order to make a payment. When you get to the checkout, just follow the different steps, it’s very easy.

By check (cheque):
This option is only available in France. If this applies to you, just select the “check” option when you go through checkout.

Please make sure your payment arrives within 10 days after submitting your order, otherwise the accounting system will automatically cancel it.

In both cases, Paypal or check, orders are only sent once payment has been cleared.


What if I make a mistake when entering my order?

If you make a mistake when entering your order and you haven't been through checkout yet, just click on "View cart" on the top right of the page and make your changes. The "View cart" link only appears when an order has been placed.

If you've already been through checkout, please contact me within 3 days after its submission, we'll find a way to fix it.


What if I want to exchange my kit?

Did you get a French Kit gift in a colour that's not quite to your liking?

Do you regret the colour you chose for yourself?

Not a problem.

If you're not entirely satisfied with your kit, I'm happy to exchange it. You have 7 days to decide if you wish to return it*. Returned orders must be postmarked no later than 7 days after initial delivery.

All shipping costs for the return will be at your charge.

Each returned kit must be in perfect condition, with its invoice as well as a note with the reason of the return.

French Kit will exchange your kit or give you a refund within a 30 day period, so long as the reason for the return is fair and justified.

Any kit returned incomplete, damaged or soiled in any way will not be taken back. Once again, shipping costs for the return trip back to you will be at your charge.

Please note that once the sealed envelope containing the pattern has been opened the kit can no longer be returned or exchanged.

*Special conditions apply to the following:

Christmas period: for any order placed between 1 and 20 December, you have 30 days from the day of receipt to return your kit in accordance with the present "returns policy".


How long will it take for my French kit to arrive and how much will it cost me?

All parcels leave from France via the French postal service. They are only delivered upon signature.

Each order is subject to varying shipping costs and times according to your location:

* Shipping time is counted in working days. Orders are only sent once payment has been cleared.

Note: An international order may incur a customs fee. This fee is being charged by your government, not French Kit. I apologize for any inconvenience, but I have no control over the customs authorities in your country. Contact your local customs office for more information about customs fees and duty taxes.

What currency do you use?

All prices are in Euros, all tax included, and are subject to the French VAT of 19,6%.

If you're in a non-Euro zone, your account will be charged in your local currency of an equal amount to the rate of exchange in place at the time of your order.

What happens if you're momentarily out of stock?

I generally have in stock all the products for sale on the site.

Nevertheless, should your order be out of stock, either because of a high demand, or because of a problem with a supplier, here are the following alternatives:

  • a refund
  • a voucher
  • postponing your order
  • the same product with a similar yarn or habedashery of comparable quality

French Kit maintains the right to cancel all or part of submitted orders in case of complications with our suppliers or in case of force majeur.
